Avaxa Plants B.V. is a young, modern and dynamic company founded in 2017 following a merger of Stolker Plants B.V. and W. & A. van der Poel B.V. We are based in Boskoop, the heart of the tree nursery sector. In more than 10 countries across Europe, Avaxa Plants B.V. focuses on the higher-end trade in retail and landscaping. We work closely with more than 400 growers at home and abroad. This enables us to supply a wide assortment of high-quality trees and plants.

What does Avaxa mean?
We are often asked what Avaxa means. It is a blend of Ava and Vaxa. Ava is the Latin name for grandmother. Most of Avaxa's 5 partners are cousins through their grandmother Corrie Nieuwesteeg, a lady who was married to tree nursery exporter Jan Nieuwesteeg. Trading is in our genes! Växa means 'to grow' in Swedish, an important destination for our products. The rising green lines in the logo represent growth, but also symbolise the Scandinavian northern lights.
